Lady Olave

Born in Chesterfield, England on February 22, 1884. Her name was Olave Saint Claire Soames.

When she was 23 years old, meets B.P, in 1912. The love emerged inmediatly and no matter the age difference (32 years), they get married.

Four years later, Lady Olave took over the guides' training; replacing his husband already overwhelmed with work. That year was named Sussex' Commissioner, being tireless in his work with girls. 1916 was a specialy important year for the Scout Movement, because the Lobato's section was created. At the same time, started the trainning for the Scout Boss higher than 15 years old.

The same year, was purchased the beautiful Gidwell Park, for the scouts to have a meeting place.

Two years later, in 1918, Lady Olave turns into Guide's Boss in England.

In 1930, Lady Olave is named World's Guide Boss, so since that date she visit over 100 countries in all the world.

Finnaly, Lady Olave dies the June 26, 1977 in Guildford, England.
